Pomeranian offshore companies strengthen their position in global markets
From New York, through Madrid, to Melbourne and Hamburg, companies from the Pomerania region operating in the offshore sector are strengthening their position in international markets. They work together as part of the Offshore Industry group created under the Pomeranian Export Broker 2030 project. The goal of the group is to support the international growth of local companies and strengthen Pomerania’s position in the global wind energy sector.
The year 2026 started with the participation of Pomeranian companies in the International Partnering Forum (IPF) in New York. This event is one of the most important meetings for the offshore wind industry in North America. It gave companies a chance to learn about new market trends, meet potential business partners, and explore opportunities in the growing U.S. market.
Another important event was WindEurope 2026 in Madrid. Every year, this trade fair brings together thousands of companies and experts from the European wind energy sector. It is a place where businesses can present new technologies and innovative solutions for both onshore and offshore wind energy.
At the Pomerania regional stand, seven companies presented their products and services: Alpin Weld, Baltic Diving Solutions, Elecom, Elmark, Enstream, PM Ecology, and Technica Nova Baltica. Their offer included measurement and navigation buoys, diving services for offshore projects, and maintenance solutions for wind farms. The event helped the companies promote their expertise, exchange knowledge, and build new business relationships across Europe.
The next step will be a business mission to Melbourne, Australia. Australia, especially the state of Victoria, is one of the most promising offshore wind markets today. The fast development of offshore wind projects creates many opportunities for suppliers of technologies, services, and specialist solutions.
During the visit, the companies will take part in the Australia Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition, meet key industry representatives, and visit Port Hastings, an important location for the development of Australia’s offshore wind sector. The mission will help participants better understand the local market and identify new business opportunities.
Later this year, Pomeranian companies will also attend WindEnergy Hamburg, one of the world’s leading wind energy trade fairs. The event attracts around 1,600 exhibitors and more than 43,000 visitors from 100 countries. The companies will present their offer at the joint Pomerania stand within the Polish National Pavilion.
One of the companies taking part in the international activities of the Pomeranian Offshore Industry Group is Baltic Diving Solutions. The company has experience from projects carried out in the North Sea, the Middle East, West Africa, the Caspian Sea, and Sakhalin.
"Trade missions and industry exhibitions give us the opportunity to show what we have achieved, as well as the equipment, vessels, and diving systems we use," says Krzysztof Stopierzyński, CEO of Baltic Diving Solutions. "They are also a place where companies like ours meet, exchange ideas, build partnerships, and work together on future projects. This is where we discuss the development of the offshore sector and how to strengthen cooperation between business partners."
The strong presence of Pomeranian companies at international industry events shows their commitment to expanding into global markets. By working together and following a common export strategy, they are successfully taking advantage of the growing opportunities in the offshore and onshore wind energy sectors worldwide.
